Associate of Applied Science Degree in Healthcare Information Systems Management (HISM)

(CHOP-B)

DNV CHOP-B Certification is an individual certification designed for Operations Professionals working in the healthcare environment. The certification is the first certification offered as part of a three-part series of certifications designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ understanding and familiarity with NIAHO, ISO, NDPA 101, and NFPA 99 standards.

Certified Healthcare Operations Professional-Advanced
(CHOP-A)

CHOP Certification is an “individual” Certification designed for Operations Professionals working in the healthcare environment. The CHOP A (Advanced) Certification is the second in the 3-part series of the complete CHOP curriculum. The course provides participants with a road map to navigate NFPA, an overview of the risks involved with construction and renovation in the healthcare environment, and an in-depth knowledge of the essential equipment found in hospitals.
 
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of CHOP B Certification.

The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology assists students in finding employment after training. We will help students secure jobs through various means including job searches, career fairs, direct communication with employers to identify upcoming requisites, resume writing assistance, and interview coaching. Graduates are eligible to access the College's placement assistance program at no additional cost.
